Products: Technical Witts, Inc. manufactures and sells Power Witts, a suite of Windows based tools for power converter analysis and simulation.  Under development are power supply products.

Intellectual Property: Technical Witts, Inc. holds the rights to 19 issued US patents and 3 pending US patents, all in the general area of power electronics. We hold more patents in the area of high efficiency resonant transition converters than anyone in the industry. New inventions which will likely become the subjects of US patents are currently in development.

Services: Technical Witts, Inc. offers engineering services in the fields of power electronics and technical applications software. We have an impressive record of technical accomplishments and successful product designs. We have served a fairly wide variety of clients ranging from small engineering companies to some Fortune 500 companies. By choosing Technical Witts, Inc. for your engineering services you can be sure that you are getting a design that is both expertly executed and innovative. We also offer educational services in the form of seminars on EMC.

Facilities: Technical Witts, Inc. maintains a well equipped laboratory for power supply development. We own all of the equipment necessary for the development of power supplies. We also own computers and CAD software for printed circuit board development and power supply simulation/analysis. We also own all of the tools necessary to develop applications software products.

Other activities: A high efficiency, high power density voltage regulator module is currently under development. This product will be made available to patent licensees. Professional advancement courses are in preparation. The first of these was presented at APEC 03.

Major accomplishments: Many of our designs have resulted in highly successful aerospace and commercial products. Sales of our software product have grown steadily since its introduction and it is beginning to see commercial success and acceptance. Our first patent has been used in several successful commercial products. Our first patent is the subject of the UCC3580 evaluation board which demonstrates the advantages of soft switching in a simple flyback power supply. A power supply we designed for the MSX satellite was tested at Goddard Space Flight Center and found to have the lowest noise of any switched mode power supply ever tested there at that time. Some of our patents represent significant advances to the state of the art of power electronics and are very compelling. The technology that we have invented places Technical Witts at the leading edge of power converter development in the industry.

Memberships: Technical Witts, Inc. is an affiliate member of the Power Supply Manufacturers Association (PSMA).  We are active participants in the Energy Committee of PSMA.  This committee provides support and recommendations to the EPA and other regulatory agencies in matters involving power supply efficiency.  We are also active participants in the Program Committee of the Applied Power Electronics Conference.
